here is my opinion on the movie last of the mohicans, this is what gets me, by the title it makes one think that the Mohicans are a dead tribe , that no longer exists. and this simply is not the truth, I am of American Indian descent, and my gradnfather was a memebr of the Sotckbridge Munsee band of mohicans, we are Mohicans, descended from those proud warriors that Mr Cooper chose to write about and there are many of us left, I am also of Oneida Indian blood and while most people can accept the fact that I am Oneida when I mention the Mohican blood they say well I thought that tribe died out, what about the book? last of the mohicans? it really is just that, a book, not a historical account.and I just want people to know that we are still here! we did not die out ! that is all I want to say. while it is interesting the book is not history. it is not an accutate account of anything. it is simply a story to intice the imagination. Got to Mohican.com and see how we are thriving!
