I didn't read the book until after I saw the movie ten years ago. Never had to read it for school, so I didn't. JFC, to me, is hard to read primarily because of the time period in which he wrote. I really struggled to get through it. The movie on the other hand...well, the fact that so many of us are here in this place speaks volumes, don't you think? I'm a visual person so naturally I like the movie better even though Michael Mann took some liberties with it. Glad you're here!
