Peter and Nancy,

I know there is a YA (young adult) version of JFC's LOTM. Perhaps I should have read that one! LOL!

: Hi Peter!

: Welcome!

: About your post:
: The book and the movie certainly are different, and as Theresa said the book is tough reading. I wonder if/how reading the book might have changed when it was translated--maybe it was "rephrased" to make it a little more understandable? Did you read it in Polish?

: It's also interesting to compare different versions of the movie. I have a copy of the 1920 silent version of LOTM, which I enjoy watching every once in a while. I want to view the other versions again, but I haven't seen them on video or on TV. Does anyone have comments about the other LOTM movies? (this probably is in the archives somewhere, but I'm not going to look tonight!)

: Nancy

: : Hello! I'm from Poland
: : How do you find this two stories. They are a little bit different. Which one do you prefer? For me the movie is for adults, and the book is for children. What do you think?
