: : Has anyone bought or seen the the region 2 (European) DVD version of LOTM? I'm itching to buy it but I don't know if it is the directors cut as happened with the region 1 (American) version or the original theatrical version. If it is the latter I'd rather spend the extra and buy an imported region 1 version. None of the retailers (or indeed e-tailers) have any idea what I'm talking about with my wild ramblings about extra scenes and edited dialogue.

: Would love to be able to help with this query...and I guess I SHOULD be able to since I am in England....but alas, I couldn't WAIT until the dvd was released here and ordered a region 1 version from the US.  The dvd should say on it tho...directors expanded edition...
