: Count me in as company!!! I love this movie, and except for its crudeness [making it unsuitable fare for my kids!], I'd rank it right up there with, or maybe even surpassing, "Braveheart". In fact - and I'm no expert, but from what I've heard - it is more historically accurate than it's "big brother" - as it relates to costumes & the like.

as a medieval reenactor i can tell you that Rob Roy was MUCH more authentic than Braveheart. both in appearance an especially history. Rob Roy does take liberty with fleshing out the characters, but Braveheart twists time just to make it interesting. the biggest one was the fact that the princess Wallace supposedly falls for in fact didn't land in England until he had been dead about 10 years.

not to mention....did anyone else notice the teeth in Rob Roy? the makeup dept. even made those 'period', bleh!.

take care,

bob
