You should also be sure to read the interview with Eric Schweig. You can find the link from the "Cast Member Interviews" on the home page. Yes, there was a love interest, and Eric talks about how it was developed more in scenes that were cut. But do read the rest of this site, there are lots and lots of answers to questions you haven't even asked yet!

: Hi, I'm new to the site and a somewhat new fan of the movie. After seeing it 4 times (3 times original version and 1 time director's cut) it is still unclear to me whether the directors were trying to show a love interest between Uncus and Alice. Can anybody shed any light on this subject?
