Well, The '99 Gathering is growing quickly! At this moment, we have 29 folks already committed to being there, many paid up. That's only 9 behind the TOTAL from last year, and we've only had the updated page up for one week! Looking good ... and that means the movie ticket price will be plunging downwards.

Up new this week is our interview with Russell Means ... A few words ...

We went into this interview with a bit more trepidation than in previous efforts. We did not want it to disintegrate into a debate. We very much knew that we disagreed with many of Russell's stances, and, sure enough, he did bring up things we are convinced are wrong. On top of that, prior to the actual interview, we had another conversation with him, in which he seemed to be very cold & distant. "Ah, what the heck!" We did it anyway, vowing to let him have his say. We'd be listeners ... after all, he DID grant an interview. That said, it went pretty well. At first, there was a distance he seemed to keep. I think that comes across early on in the transcribed interview. It would appear he warmed up after we talked of the scene at Cameron's cabin. See what you think. Later, we had a couple of mild "run-ins" ... you'll see what I mean, but, all-in-all, he was very warm & friendly. We came away liking him more than we did prior, so that's always a good thing. He has a genuine love for the finished product that is LOTM! His voice became very soft and emotional when speaking of Eric Schweig; very embittered & angry when speaking of the BIA. Most always, his tone was friendly and he displayed good humor. Actually, it was fun, and NOW, having gotten the formalities out of the way, we are ready to debate him on some of his comments ... in fun. Maybe someday. Treaty Productions has sent a photo to accompany the interview; we haven't yet received it. As soon as we do, it will be added to the page. Hope you enjoy reading the interview, and, as always, we invite your comments here on the Board.

Speaking of comments, Mark Baker is VERY curious as to the reaction of all you good people regarding "The Script & The Matter of Historical Accuracy" page ... good & bad! Please let us know your thoughts (some already have) either on the Board or in E-Mails so that we can pass them on. Remember, feedback is all-important to the creative process. It helps to inspire. Perhaps, some feedback to Mark will get his fires burning again and he'll pick up on his DDL story.

Oh, another Mohicanite has disappeared - Davenie is lost in the wilderness, at least till the summer! :( We'll always be thankful for her Maurice Roeves contact, and will miss her presence. On the PLUS side, visitation is now regularly reaching over 900 individuals per day. This place, amazingly, keeps growing & growing & growing & ....
