In response to your query as to whether there are any other living historians out there, my answer is yes. I started Living history and re-enacting when I was 12 (31 now). I have done
F&I, Rev. War, Civil War,WWII and am currently involved in
Vietnam, as well as mid 18th Century Reenacting. For almost
a year, I was a Volunteer living Historian at the Yorktown Victory
center where I actually got to live the life of a Continental Soldier
on a daily basis. It was a rush, and I am hoping this summer to do some work for Colonial Williamsburg. My 18th century persona is usually based around actual ancestors who lived thru the times of old. My favorite is Joshua Mullins who served in the VA. Cont. line and then went west to Tenn. And Ky immediately following the Revolution.
: I was wondering, are there any other reenactors or living historians posting messages here?
: I know Major George Bray [a person I highly respect for his knowledge on the subject of Rogers' Rangers] has in the past.
: Does anyone else here "reenact" or shoot smokepoles??
: Just curious...

: "Champ"
: ["The Cherokee Ranger"]
