The sky over Mohicanland darkened briefly yesterday afternoon as the first contingent of the Bee Holder's Swarm arrived back in the Colony. Spurred to an incredible rate of speed by Gore Bee (who is always a rushin'), 5000 happy worker bees swooped over the town and disappeared into a mossy glade behind the Camerons' Cabin. They immediately set to work scouting out hollow logs and tree crevices for suitable sites for hives. According to Do Bee, who will be supervising the rebuilding of the Calm Bee Nation, the work is already hummmmming along at a bizzzzzy pace in anticipation of the arrival of the Quilting Bees, who will set about making the new hives cosy and bright.

Bee Happy circled the area quickly and was ecstatic to find loads of apple and cherry trees which promise a bounteous crop of Spring blossoms, and Gum Bee found a gum tree. "What will you do with a gum tree, Gum Bee?" asked this reporter. "I dunno," he droned. "I'll have to chew on it for a while."

Bee Happy tells us there are plans to hold a real Wing Ding when the Swarm has settled into their new hives, and all the citizens of Mohicanland will be invited to join in the celebration.
