: : Hey all! Until now I've been a just an observer of the posts here, figuring as I had no clue what the heck was going on, I'd do better to just watch for a while! Well, I'm breaking my silence to introduce myself as another devoted fan of LOTM and a history buff, particularly Revolutionary War era and Colonial times..Also, I have a question that probably seems down right stupid to all you veterans of this page, but I just have to ask. What exactly is "The Courier"? I noticed the various posts here from Simon Girty and the like but I couldn't get the gist of what's going on..

: Hi Mark,
: Glad you broke your silence to introduce yourself. There are lots of history buffs, reenactors, LOTM fans, ES fans, DDL fans, etc. who hang around here. Many have taken to blending history & LOTM by taking on various personas. The *cast of characters* grows all the time.
: As for "The Courier"; it is total parody. A satirical *publication* that evolved through the various personas, interaction, & incidents that occurred to us or on this board. It takes a while to get the idea, but it's a way of making fun of ourselves & things that happen here. It's meant to be humorous.
: Why don't you give it a try?
: You can access the Courier through the link at the top of this page.
: Welcome a-board!
There - as I said in my response, I knew you would reply. And you beat me by 2 seconds! Only because I got disconnected while typing and had to reconnect! One has to be VERY QUICK to get ahead of E.Laine!!
