: So good of you to take interest in the Activities of the CCCC.  I declare few but yourself, being a Prima Cooperina as you are, care aught for Cooperism.  We hope, of course, to remedy that.  And we thank you for your support.

: Oh, it was parched indeed, owing to the lateness of my arrival -- it's quite difficult to find speedy conveyances in the wilderness, and of course the delays one runs into dodging Hurons. She-etc. had roasted a pig for me, and served up some very tall grass which is called, in this country, Asperin Grass, I believe.  

: : : I might add that She-etc. has the most extraordary understanding of Le Longue Carabine, that one wonders how much longer he can avoid falling into her clutches.  She-etc. quite amazes me.
