I'm so glad you decided to share your feelings about the REAL stars of LOTM with us. I agree, there are probably THOUSANDS of folks out there who feel exactly the same way as you...BUT!!! I MUST take exception to your list! You have left out the absolute BEST performance of ALL! I cannot understand what is happening here when the most dramatic and moving moment in the entire film is omitted! I am speaking, of course, about the utterly beautiful and eloquently thrilling COUGAR who hisses at Cora with such deadly menace as she rides along the George Road. Can it be that you do not consider that performance on a par with the other animals, so nicely complimented in your post??? Surely, you jest! Surely most of you cannot think the DOGS in the Huron village performed more ably than that courageous cougar??? For those of you who might lean in that direction, I can only say, in the words of our favorite villain..."You are women! Slaves! Dogs! I spit on you!!!" I and my cougar will head north to the Hurons on the Lake!!!

I beg you, reconsider??? I definitely vote the Cougar #1, Numero Uno, Top Dog...er...CAT!
