: : I realize it is difficult for a little bee who's always rushin' to sit still and think this through, but I will try to clarify it for you.  Yes, we wish the British to leave the Colonies to us, and when they demand the wealth we wish to keep for ourselves, they are the enemy.  Howsever, Hawkeye is a scout and hunter for the 60th Regiment of Royal Americans, and when they fight against the French and the Indians, they are on our side.  Then again, when they fight against the Indians who are on our side, they are the enemy.  Any clearer?
