Ye can come out from under that bush now, Old Crone. I think the sun's dried this blanket enough that ye can make a fairly decent wrap-around of it. Let's go see what washed up on the bank with us. Hmmm. The other blanket caught on this here root, and there's our sack o' corn - not so parched any more, I'll be bound. Good thing I held onto my rifle and my bullet pouch, but I don't know what I'm gonna use for powder. Now, what else? Here's a pair o' moccasins stickin' out o' the edge o' the water. Seem to be attached to somethin'. Lordy be, iffn they ain't got feet in 'em! You grab that one, and I'll grab this one, adn puuulll! Well, looky there - it's an Indian! I'll drag him up here on the grass, and iffn ye'll just jump up and down on his back a few times, mebbe we can clear him o' water and find out whether he's fri'nd or foe.
