Hi, Jada! Good question. I've often wondered about those who slipped out that northern sallyport, myself. To my knowledge, nothing is divulged about them in the film at all. However, I don't know if Jack's character comes from the books or not. We have to go to our resident Cooperphiles for the answer to that. Elaine? Gayle? Penny? Where does Jack Winthrop come from? I'm soon to be starting on LOTM The Book, so I guess I'll find out if he appears in that. I bought it last week, but haven't worked up my courage to tackle it yet. I'm still recovering from The Deerslayer! ;o)

Jada, hope you will stick around and drop your 2 bits in more often.
