: I lived for two years near Gettysburg. The battlefield, while over-monumented and surrounded by tourist traps, is a beautiful and haunting sight, particularly the field between Seminary and Cemetary Ridges over which Pickett charged. You look out over that field from The Angle, and you can tell that something horrible happened there. I highly recommend a visit.

Good show, Mike, and WELCOME back! Of course I remember you! You'd be surprised; there are others here who'll remember you as well!
I agree whole-heartedly with both you & Susan as to the effect of the field of Gettysburg, particularly the site of Pickett's Charge, on one's soul. Standing where a North Carolina regiment took cannon shot - point blank - so very close to their objective, is an awe-inspiring place! It makes my eyes well up just typing the words here at my computer ...
Hope you peek in on the doings now & again!
