: : : : Here is a URL that shows a picture of the Grateful Dead House.  This was one block up the street.  I used to work for Bill Graham back in the 60's.  He produced all of the first rock shows at the Fillmore Auditorium.  I was also a member of the "Family Dog".  The Family Dog produced many of the rock shows at the Avalon Ballrom.  Unfortunately their web site is being worked on, so there is nothing there at the moment.
