I take back Gnome of it! I think both descriptions fit. Yours and mine. One is physical appearance, and one is characteristics. Gnomes weren't like you see in Disney's Snow White any more than deer are like Bambi! When was the last time you saw a deer talk, eh? (putting aside talking horses for now, thank you)
At least, the Gnome inhabiting THIS neck of the woods fits both those descriptions.....

Oh, yes! Almost forgot. Red Caps aren't Gnomes. They are trolls thank you very much! Please get it straight - there is a BIG difference between Gnomes and Trolls.
But......you are only human of course, so allowances will be made. And after all, you DID stick up for Gnomes in your own way........
