R & E,

Each person you interviewed was a diffierent "interview" than the others. That was interesting.

The interview with Studi showed how much thought he has put into the process, as well as the technique of acting. He said Magua progressed as they went along. It really made the character more than "a part." He said several things in discussing both Magua and Geronimo that I found particularly cogent. He mentioned the historical character, and the extra historical person and history as written and the often more important (at least to me) part that is not. No wonder we like his acting so much.

One of my favorite scenes in Geronimo was when all waiting for him to arrive on a white horse. And when he does, his familiarity with horses really makes the scene. The horse prances into place as though Geronimo has such a potent presence that is is guided into place by his force of personality. Wow.
