: : Thank you, MMMMarcia!! I always enjoy reading your posts! Shish, I watched Bounty awhile back. I had no idea THAT was DDL! Well, I think I'll start off with Age. I like the Victorian period as well. I'll sure will let you know what I think about it.

: It is a lovely film, with beautiful cinematography, though my husband calls it "the mother of all chick-flicks!" (He can't stand repressed suffering.) There are those who love it, and those who definitely don't. I love it.

: : The hair cut. Right. Well, I thought it made him look younger. He looked younger in Boxer than he did in LOTM. It also made his nose more prominent which in turn gave more the appearance of a boxer. Just a thought.

: Now this is interesting. I thought he looked much OLDER in The Boxer...harder and older, both. I agree that the haircut makes an already prominent nose much more so, and it did give him a pugilistic look, I guess. But it sure was a crummy looking haircut. Oh, well...I like long hair on my men, anyway, so I guess that means I have to stick with Hawkeye...darn!! ;o)

: In The Bounty, he plays the one who gets set adrift with Bligh, with the stick tied in his mouth...blustering and sputtering. He has a good line or two early on, when they all meet at dinner to discuss the voyage. Take another look, you'll be surprised. But if you like Victorian, by all means, rent Room With A View. It is an absolutely delightful movie, with a wonderful turn by the great Maggie Smith, and the Queen of Victorian Period Films, Helena Bonham-Carter. DDL doesn't show up until the second half of the movie, when they've returned to England...but when he does, oh my! What a simpering, insufferable WIMP he is! You'll have to laugh!

: Of course, for the really odd...try Eversmile, New Jersey, wherein he plays a traveling dentist, riding a motorcycle through Patagonia. It is SO bizarre and I, personally, thought it was hilarious!

: Now, if we could just get him to put that baby down and make another movie!! It's overdue!
