: Good Morning, Richfed!

: Thanks for the Sunday update, negatives and all. It is good to have at least a feel for what you are going through, and how it is affecting you.

: First and foremost, I'd like to say that I, for one, am very happy to see the new statement at the top of the Board. I really don't think you have a choice but to exercise some control over your own board. I still think when we visit this board it is akin to being invited into your home, and if we don't mind our manners at least REASONABLY well, we can expect to be asked to leave. Makes perfect sense to me, and if I ever set up a board on any of my pages, that's exactly how I would run it. For those who throw out the "Free Speech" argument, I would say "set up your own site and your own board, and say anything you please. (Being careful, of course, that you don't break any laws regarding slander or libel.) But when you visit HERE, behave like a guest, which is what you are." I saw it that way then, and I see it that way now!

: RE: The Mohican Porno Caper: It seems likely to me that someone (who shall go nameless, but who we all think we know) got the IDEA from reading about "page-jacking," then implemented it herself, with the thought in mind of causing a lot of irritation to MP. Personally, I don't care any more how many times my name shows up or where. I don't really believe it will cost me any business to speak of, and I know none of my friends will believe I have anything to do with such a site. As for the rest of the public, as this page-jacking activity becomes more well know, they will surely recognize just what is happening. I believe it will die a natural death when it no longer shocks anyone. I could be wrong, but that's what I'm thinking, anyway.

: The news about the Gathering just gets better and better. I cannot WAIT to see the Biltmore...what an adventcha! And the possibility of adding an extra day to do the River Walk again is just too wonderful. I've been regretting sorely that I didn't take more pictures there this year. I hope I get another opportunity to rectify that.

: As for securing your place at the Gathering when the packages become available, as Rich said, you don't want to wait. Personally, I think 75 would be about as large a group as we would want to try to accommodate, though that hasn't been definitely decided yet. But logistically speaking, that's a lot of cars to string out in a caravan going from location to location. So it makes sense to me that we might have to set a limit on attendees.

: And just so those of you who are planning to attend know what a WONDERFUL Mohican Mama I am, I have decided to scout out possible locations in PERSON next month. Yes, I know, the mountains in the fall are such a CHORE...but somebody's got to do it, and who better than MMMM? So, come October 16, I will be heading with Mark and my best friend, Gary, up to Cold Mountain for a week, during which I will try to visit some choice spots, with the goal of locating the perfect place for our group to assemble. *sigh* Life can be so hard sometimes!!!! ;o)

:
: Have a wonderful Sunday. Be sure to give extra hugs to your family and loved ones...why?...JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN!! That's a gift in itself, you know!

: Love to All in Mohicanland,
: MMMM

Well, said, Marica, my thoughts exactly - about the use of a delete button and the porno hits.
The Biltmore sounds great; must be tough having to go back to Chimney Rock in the Fall, Marcia. Tough life! Good scouting!
