: Yepper! I'm addicted to the Archives! The threads concerning all of Cooper's books are great. Today I discovered a thread called Apples and Oranges started by Gayle.(1998 Archives(Part 2)) This thread deals with the characters of Alice and Cora. Neat, neat stuff. Gayle, I'm currently printing as many of your opinions and observations as I have time for. The same goes for MMMarcia, Elaine, and Pat. I think they make a great study guide. When it comes to Cooper's books, I need all the help I can get.

: Jayne, it never would have occurred to me to print out all this stuff if I hadn't read YOUR post IN THE ARCHIVES.

Hi, Dana.

Glad I did something helpful here! (Refresh my memory, though - don't remember which post you refer to; although I do remember printing up things for my sister who is an avid Cooper fan now and has read all the Leatherstocking Tales.)

By the way, Dana - it appears that I will miss seeing you at the Feast. Have to work on Sat (darn!) so will be going on Sun. It would have been great to meet you and Caitlin & Jeff. Please let me know your perceptions of the day! Or if you decide to go on Sun.

I've been reading your posts with Marcia concerning the DDL movies. Back in April (when I became crazy over LOTM) I spent a week watching all the mentioned movies. My favorite is still LOTM, but for exceptional acting skill I think DDL was best in My Left Foot and In The Name of the Father. I liked him in the others, too. I found it intriguing the way he immersed himself in his roles while preparing for making the movies. I sure hope he comes out of hiding soon to do another movie!
