: : Siyo ---

: : unless you are "making up" your own "ceremony" o/r have an Iroquois (etc) who knows what they are doing, I'd be very careful of conducting any "ceremony" that you've read about in a book (etc), for you can be opening yourself up for a world of hurt.
: : Our elders in the Southern Cherokee Nation take this very serious, & have warned us time & again NOT to mess with ceremonies (etc) *if* we dont know what we are doing.
: : They liken it to playing with fire ;-)

: : Just some friendly advice ---

: Vey is mir,

: It would, of course, be a non-denominational, gender neutral, strictly Mohicanlandish in intent and purpose, borrowing from all human belief systems, but none specifically, and then in spirit only, spontaneous, private, voluntary, and subject to the Fair Use Clause in U.S. Copywright law.

That is all well & good, and I wish you luck.
I think your original message was a little "murky"& lead me to believe it was a "Native" based ceremony you had planned,
& thus I was passing along the knowledge & wisdom of some of our elders on this kind of thing.
Its something we dont take too lightly in our culture.
