: : Hi Petra,

: : I love your list. It is always good to get a European's point of view of life in America.

: : Speaking of bookstores, I found a great bookstore while looking for a breakfast place in Phoenix. It is called "Changing Hands Bookstore". I am not exactly sure where it was, but it was great to eat a bite and then browse the bookshelves. There were some great finds and I added quite a bit to my already overloaded bookshelves.

: Hi Ayesha,

: yes, I know that store, it's a very nice place to spend some time, isn't it? Were you at the one on Mill Avenue in Tempe? I think it's one of the last small bookstores in the area that is not owned by one of the large chains. I first found my way to that store when I was a student at ASU in 84/85 and it didn't seem to have changed at all last time I was there.

: If you have some extra time or a bored moment while you are here around Thanksgiving, just give me a call. Do you still have my number?

: Have a good weekend!

Hi Petra,

Yes, the bookstore was in Tempe. The food was very good. I am always looking for more books on nutrition. I found some that I had not seen in my area before. It's nice to find a bookstore that isn't owned by a large chain. In our area the larger chains are putting many of the smaller bookstores out of business. It's a bit sad.

I don't have your phone number. Please email it and I will call you when we get to Phoenix.

Thanks for posting your happier moments. They are filled with sunshine and have brightened my day!

Have a lovely weekend,

Ayesha
