: It has been suggested that our fair colony is in need of a national anthem. The Mohicanland Library and Histerical Committee has thus decided to sponsor a contest for the best song. We encourage all citizens to think about what Mohicanland means to them and to submit their anthems.

: So send in those manuscripts, folks. All entries must be post-marked no later than midnight, August 4, 1757. We assume no responsibility for manuscripts which get burned, blown up, waterlogged or eaten by the Gnome.

I been thinkin' what we need is a good rousin' march for Mohicanland. So here's what I came up with. Hope it meets with your approval.

Mine eyes have seen the citizens that pulled a mighty oar.
We have trampled down the river bank and dragged them to the shore.
We have fended off the arrows, manned the loopholes, held the door -
Our truth is marching on!

Cheer Mohicanland forever!
Cheer Mohicanland forever!
Here's to Mohicanland forever!
And to Miss Marcia's fudge!

In our beautiful Mohicanland, our Sachem holds the fort.
All usurpers will be ousted from the Northern Sallyport!
We have gathered here together friendly souls of every sort -
Our truth is marching on!

Cheer Mohicanland forever!
Cheer Mohicanland forever!
Here's to Mohicanland forever!
And to Miss Marcia's fudge!
