I read alot of historical fiction. Lots of cream and no sugar, please!
The further back in history one goes, the more one runs into desriptions of warfare. I have had no choice but to try and follow these descriptions, and have developed a little understanding of basic warfare tactics and their developement. I understand that Native Indian leaders, such as Joseph Brant, insisted on using "standard" Indian tactics when assisting the British in the American Revolution. Were these tactics "newly" developed against the Europeans, or was this "hunt and ambush" tactic how they had always battled, even amongst themselves?

Most of my "war reading" as been about Ancient Britain. If anyone knows of any good books about "Ancient America", let me know.

Dana
