With regards to non-traditional style music another artist comes to mind: Susan Aglukark. Most of her songs are in Inuktitut.

Oh, that's too bad! Believe me, I'd love to be there!!!! Is it taking place right in Phoenix? BTW Keith Secola also hails from the Phoenix area,right? I love his "NDN CARS".:) Have you ever had the chance to see him in concert? I had the pleasure of listening to him and his band at a festival here in town!
