Well, it is a lovely evening indeed, balmy, peaceful, tinged with an ever so light breeze of blooming jasmine....
While lying by the bank propped upon my right elbow, I gaze up to the stars and wonder: will I be able to attend the Y2K Gathering in a wondrous, and for me, so far at least, still mythical Shangri-La-like realm of LOTMLand?
To my left, shrouded by the darkening night and elongated shadows of the willows, is a group of Whirling Dervishes, slowly, slowly, turning and turning and turning...their white clad slim bodies with the white skirts swirling swirling ... as they reach with an outstretched right hand toward the heavens... the darbouka playing hypnotically as the East merges and dances with the West...
oh the mysteries of Life... the soaring heights and fathomless depths of the human spirit...
all's well at your realm, my King and Queen, rest and enjoy the company of your loved ones as they saunter down the roads to join you by the River Bank....
