: : : : My books finally arrived today. I am LOVING Deerslayer. I am half way through the first chapter. So far, it is much easier to read than LOTM. Good choice, Gayle!

: : : : Dana S.

: : : Dana,

: : : You are something remarkable! Certainly made MY day! Can't wait to hear what you think of Hurry Harry. Is he going to be a problem type of guy?

: : : Gayle

: : ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

: : NOW look what you've started, Ms. Gaylee!!! A veritible avalanche of Cooperites can be expected to come sliding into Mohicanland any day now! You should be very happy, sartain!! ;o)

: : And Dana, you GO, girl! Doesn't the Glimmerglass just sound like the perfect spot in the Wilderness?

: : MMMMarcia

:
: No more jumping the gun, I promise. Hurry Harry is a hoot, sartain! Glimmerglass is Heaven!

: Dana

Marcia -

Don't know about an avalanche, but how can anybody resist Dana's enthusiasm!

Dana -

Go ahead - jump the gun. I love it. I agree, the Glimmerglass is a magnificent place to go to when you've had a rough day.

It fascinates me to read about how the Hutters carved out a life there, too. Did you ever spend time imagining how you would survive if you were stranded in such a wilderness? I was fascinated by how they constructed Muskrat Castle and how they built a working fireplace - indeed, how they dealt with all the various challenges of safety and relative comfort on the frontier when they had nothing but the raw materials of the wilderness to work with. Natty's tour through their island fortress is a great thought provoker.
