: : Hi, Bill...I have always enjoyed watching The Bounty. It was Mel at his most gorgeous, Anthony Hopkins in a great part, DDL was wonderful (as always), especially spitting and spluttering when the gag was in HIS mouth. Mark loves the scenery (and something tells me he isn't referring only to the mountains and ocean!)

: : And while you were watching, did you notice a then-unknown Liam Neeson?

:
: Hi Marcia and Bill,

: It's a great movie. How many others can boast of 3 Academy Award winners in the cast. (Has Mel ever won one? If so, that makes 4.)

: Parts of it were filmed on the island of Moorea, near Tahiti. It is truly one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I read that DDL didn't like it there. The weather was awful and everyone's spirits were in the dumps. I could hardly imagine that. It's like a magical place to me. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

If you go to Sydney Australia, you can take a tour on the ship Bounty used in Mel's movie, as they've converted it to a sight-seeing tour boat, but it's very well done. They've made a few other changes for safety but otherwise it's an exactly reproduction of what the original would have been like. Except, it now contains a great bar, which I don't think Mel got to have. Chris -- summer's coming up in Sydney -- you might need a tour on the Bounty!

Cheers,
Sarah
