: Can you guess who that is??!!?? Hint: an English Trader!

: Taken about 2 weeks ago at Pound Ridge, NY, near the Connecticut line, a French & Indian War living history encampment features our very own Sarah M. ... though the garb is more Revolutionary War period. Needless to say, she had lots of fun & reportedly is HOOKED! Looks good!

: And that brings us to ... What a segue! ... Sarah is the author of the MohicanLand Musical Musings, which makes its debut here on the Web Site this morning. It's been in the works for a long time and we're happy to finally have it here for you. A great addition to the Site (see link below). "The Gael" is in MP3 format, and so not all of you, I imagine, will be able to enjoy it ... those with Windows '98, Real Player (Jukebox), and/or the most recent browsers (IE5 & Netscape 4.7) should, I believe, be able to play the tune. The first page you come to is an "introduction" page, and that features a couple of excellent creations by MMMM ... striking! Plus, Tony Hinde has generously allowed us to incorporate his screen captures in the piece by piece analysis of the LOTM CD Soundtrack. Thanks to the 3 of you ... especially Sarah, for ALL her hard work on this project!!

: Also new on the Web Site is a "Credits"-type page where we finally give long overdue "official" thanks to all who have contributed, in one way or another, to this Site. Probably, we missed somebody, but we'll make good as time goes by (and we REMEMBER!).

: The Gathering 2000 Page is once again updated to reflect all up-to-the-minute news, including the booking of "The Last of the Mohicans" at the Skyland Arts Theater for Saturday night, after our visit to the Biltmore Estate. Should be a GREAT Saturday!

: About this Board ... some of you may have noticed a little Site Meter attached WAY down at the botton of the Board, on the left. It tracks, in some detail, visitors to the Mohican WWWboard. We contemplated using it for some time, and finally decided to go with it. Please don't look at it as some kind of invasion of privacy. It's purpose here is to aid us in tracking abusers, deviants, & spammers specific to the Board. In conjunction with our behind-the-scenes Access Watch, we should now be able to nail every offender that comes through here fairly effectively. We are more than a little tired of BS, and hope that this helps to put an end to it!

: One very long-time MohicanLander, Chris from Alaska, underwent surgery on her shoulder this past Wednesday. Recovering nicely & I see she posted yesterday, but we wanted to wish her well! Chris has been here a VERY long time (on the Board, that is!)!

: So very happy to see Pilgrim Penny alive & well, and the Book Club becoming reality. Good work, folks!

: My scientific calculations seem to indicate that the upcoming DVD LOTM Director's Cut will be released in just about ... 16 days!

: TAKE NOTE: On the History Channel, November 26:

: 11:30/8:30 The Real West. The Last Comanche. Chronicle of the last
: Comanche leader to surrender his tribe to white authorities. Quanah
: Parker later became a cattle rancher and court judge. [TV G]

: (Thanks for the reminder to check the ole TV Guide, Jo!)

: On the horizon (?) ... a repeat Interviewee ... Inukshuk jewlery (soon, VERY soon!) ... more ...

: We'll leave you with this thought, brought up before by others here, from a recent sign-on to the Gathering Mailing List ...

: "... How about getting some of the trekkers off of the Mohican WWW board to sponsor an 'in-garb' trek as part of the gathering's itinerary (like Clabert Menard, for instance)?

: God willing and the killing moon don't rise, we'll be there in June ..."

: Happy Trails!

Great Sunday update; as usual!
Get well soon Chris, Hello Pilgram Penny (Hello Alma!), Great pic of Sarah M. and an absolutely GREAT music site/pages....good work!
(Let's also hope we have TIME between the Biltmore and Hendersonville to actually EAT something for dinner....at the Gathering 2000...)
I actually looked up that Russel Means movie, Donna, in my TV guide and it is Windrunner; 1994. (But I'll leave it up to the mentor to puruse the TV on a regular basis; I've got the archives to remember....)
So who's the repeat interviewee????
Very exciting that Claibar might be able to join us; it would be very interesting to see him explain his "trekking"!!!!

Thanks for all the time and effort you two have spent on the site!

Jo
