I'm with you, Myrrh! Bring it on! Chris, anxious may be the word for me, not nervous. The way I look at it is: Michael Mann had PLANNED on it being longer, right up until 20th Century Fox made him slice some off just before release. I have enough confidence in Michael Mann's story telling ability to feel certain this won't just be fluff! Now, it WILL take some getting used to, 'cause we're all so familiar with how it is in its present form, but, hey, if the DC stinks I'll go back to my THX version! No harm done.

As for the scenes, the courier diversion figures to be one of them (though I don't know that). I know there was a lot of Massacre Valley scenes cut. I'm hoping Eric Hurley's volley scene makes it ... it sounded surreal. As for the Uncas/Alice thing .. I'd like to see a bit more development, but the love scene in that cave? Nah! According to everyone, it wasn't really a love (read: sex) scene anyway. Time will tell, for that SURELY will be added (if they read our letters at all ... and they did). I would like to see just how Uncas got the cut that required Cora's attention (and that IS scripted). Cameron's Cabin interior scene has always been one of my favorites ... so an extended version of that suits me just fine. It's going to be a real treat to watch ... to see how it flows, what we have been missing, how the music is affected ...

I can't wait ... (though I may HAVE to!)

Ros' post concerning the early version she saw is still somewhere in the Archives, but we also put it on the DC page, so you can quickly find it there ...
