Good luck with your horsey and other endeavors! My 'Opi' was 17.1 and went to the Mexican National team after I sold him. He'd last finished at close to 7 feet--but not with me on board--I only took him to 5'2"! His ma was a steeplechase mare, his father raced flat. Opi ran 3 races, placing in all 3. He never made it out of the gate the 4th time around. His gates failed to open; he fell down and gashed his left knee. After that he was gate-shy--his loss, my gain. Thanks again!

: Cash was broken out for the track originally, but didn't have the attitude to run - he'd rather go UP! He's only 16.1H, but will easily do a 5' course by the time he's reached his peak! I've added new pics on the farm pages this afternoon, but still can't find one of the burial mound - it's in between the two pics shown of the creek. When the creek floods, it hits the mound on the northwest corner. If it's a bad flood, we always find pieces of pottery and arrow heads sticking out. And we can't plow an inch of ground without coming up with arrow heads. This valley was traditionally a Native American hunting ground until it was settled by the whites, about 125 years ago. We still have numerous deer and wild turkey, along with all the fox squirrels a person could ask for!
: : Nice job on the website! I used to show Hunters/Jumpers so I was particularly drawn to your hunter/jumper prospects. 'Cash Advance' reminds me of my last gelding. How many hands is 'Cash Advance'? What was he doing for five years, any flat-racing? Again, enjoyed the site! Danalee

: : : I'm looking for a picture of the Indian burial mound that is on our farm, but so far have been unsuccessful. We live in far southwestern Virginia, and our area is famous for both fossels and Native American antiquities. We do not allow any archiological digging on our farm, and have taken on the role of guardians for our small piece of history. Our web site is still under construction, but there are several pages completed, including one page with scenes from the farm. If I can find one that shows a good view of the burial mound, I'll be including it on a second page of farm pictures. Please stop by the our web site (complete with my favorite quote from LOTM) and visit. We'd love to hear comments. Thanks
