hehe...I have to admit, that's how I feel about it. I think the film is weaker as a result of these changes.

However, you've only heard MY opinion, and that of a dvd reviewer who doesn't really "know" the film like we do. Others may like the extra footage here and there enough to balance out what was removed. We need some more input.
