: : OKay...now that Elaine & Rich have seen and commented on the DVD, let the games begin! I'd love to hear from EVERYONE as they view this. In response to a couple of comments made by Rich...*me, doing my best Nixon impersonation*...let me say THIS about THAT:

: Well,
: After reading all of these emails about the merits or non-merits of the new "version"; I for one would have wished for more footage....however; as my VHS version is so dark; like a Dutch master had painted it; only no illumination...I will happily watch a "bright" and clear LOTM....and am looking forward to it...
: 2 dogs?????? Hey, that first one never even barked at the new arrivals...not much help on the frontier, eh??

: alive and well

Hi, Jo!

I'm glad to know you're alive and well!! I'm also glad to know I'm not the only one who 'can't see' alot of the action in the VHS version. I thought it was me. I tried everything. Messed with every contrast and color button, washed the TV screen, cleaned my glasses, got my sons to try and see, turned my head sideways and squinted. You name it. It was such a relief to 'SEE' everything on the DVD. The two 'tests' for me were that little cat that Cora sees and the warriors closing in on Uncas and the group right as they were first witnessing the attack on the fort. I had no idea there were so many warriors swarming around them.

It was cool to see Russell Means helping Hawkeye pull Cora across the lake in the canoe. Bless his heart. I just LOVE Chingachgook!!
