Alexandria Cameron's dress

While at a rendezvous this past summer, my wife noticed a woman wearing a dress (not uncommon) that she liked (uncommon). Recently, while watching the greatest movie ever (hint: not Titanic), I noticed that Alexandria Cameron's dress is very similar to the one we saw. I have looked far and wide for other examples of the pattern, but to no avail. The closest I have found is a regular shortgown but that is shorter than she likes. Does anybody know what the name of Alexandria's dress style, or if it's authentic?
I would love to get my wife an outfit to go along with my 1780's frontiersman look, but she's a bit picky. If an outfit like Alexandria's is authentic, that would be optimal. Otherwise, we might just have to go with a regular old shortgown. And stays/jumps/corsets/whatever you call them are out of the question. Like I said, she's picky. Any of you ladies have some suggestions? Perhaps pictures of yourselves in period attire would help us get ideas. Even a clear picture of Alexandria would help.

Thanks,
Parker
