We've gone on the record and posted our opinions of Michael Mann's new edition
of "The Last of the Mohicans," on what was formerly know as the Director's Cut Page, for
all the world, or at least MohicanLand, to see. Some of these impressions have already been
posted here on the Board. After several viewings, our feelings on it remain unchanged ...
Love it! Myrrh's point about it being called a "revised" edition, is probably a good one ... but
Director's Cut, Expanded Edition, Director's Revision ... they all work for me. Mostly, it's
just a GOOD edition, one to thoroughly enjoy. At this early juncture, our little visitors' poll
on this release is running 2:1 in its favor! So, at least I know there are a few more odd balls
out there who are appreciating the work done by Mann on this. My sense of it is that
BOTH official releases are excellent works, and had they been released in reverse order,
there would be those asking, "Wy did he butcher the ending?" Or, "What is that out-of-place
tune doing in there?" Oh well ... enjoy them for what they are!

The Gathering 2000 ... never has there been so much interest in this happening as there
appears to be this year. So many folks, new & old, expressing the desire to participate, and
quite a few people have already verbally committed, some even making reservations! Looks
like it'll be fun! I'm stuck on the Thursday evening/Friday agenda ... been tossing around the
possibilities in my mind. Anyone with a suggestion, I would love to hear it. Perhaps it'll be
the push that turns the tide! Hopefully, we'll have some new information soon ...

We received a couple more contributions to the Christmas Page, so that has been updated
this week. Thanks! Plus, the Northern Trading Post has been fleshed out. If you like the art
of that region, be sure to take a look ... Related to that, the Auction of the Agnes Thrasher painting will be open for bids beginning tomorrow.
A temporary board, for that purpose, has been set up, so if you want it, consider
participating.

Just a little note ... the keyboard player who used to play in the same band with me years
ago, and with whom I've been out of touch for about 7 years or so, recently stumbled upon
this Web Site, so, friendship renewed! Small favors ...

Hope your Holiday Season has been shaping up nicely! Just want to say to all of you how
VERY appreciative we are for all of the support, friendships & contributions that have come
our way, via YOU, over the course of the past 3 years. It has been a mighty fine ride!
We've come away with a lot; hope you have, as well!

Happy Trails!
