: I ran the elfbowl.exe through two virus detectors which found nothing. I too have had no problems with it at all. Dana S forwarded an email claiming that elfbowl.exe contained a timed release virus that was supposed to take effect on Christmas day.

However, it is not impossible that somebody who is an evil genius could have been sent the elfbowl.exe and reworked it to contain a virus then forwarded it on. Perhaps there is a version out there that has a virus, but the original vendor is reputable, and I have had no problem. So.......as always......it comes down to each one of us doing what we think is best or risking finding out the hard way. I am thinking, for me, I will enjoy it and wipe it

Bill, Gayle, Rich et all,
My husband sent elfbowl.exe to us from work. No one has had any problems in his office so far. The local radio station did an all day story on this game in Indianapolis yesterday. Everyone enjoys the game (highest score: 238), and the general feeling is that the virus scare is a hoax. Thanks, Bill, for explaining all that. You actually made me look kinda smart! :)
HELLOOOOOOO, Gayle! Tell Pat that I miss Old Crone, will you? I am almost done with Deerslayer. I'll bet you thought we were finished. No way! Just got bogged down a bit. Let's resume discussions this Sunday. I miss your posts!
