"The Mysterious Scar!" ... ah, yes. I don't know if it was
ever discussed here, but on a DD-L list I was on it was
a topic of intense scrutiny. The consensus was it was real
and gotten during the filming of LOTM. Microscopic examinations
of photos taken after LOTM done by at least 20 crazed females
revealed faint traces of it after that. Two friends of mine
who actually met him were unable to confirm it at the
source so to speak ... one was stricken with hysteria upon
coming face-to-face with him and has no recollection of
their 5 minute conversation other than "Hi!" The other
was so flustered she couldn't look at his face and could
barely remember her own name when he was giving her an
autograph. I believe he signed it "Best wishes to Unnnnh...
Unnnnhhhh!"
