: We had to watch the movie again since my husband got Rich's book for Christmas, and I was once again struck by a question that I always have when watching, then forget after it's over. I'm sure there's been discussion of it in the past, so if anyone can point me to the appropriate archival records, I'd appreciate it.
: All through the movie, Hawkeye has a cut/scar on his left cheek, under his eye. Does anyone know if that was on DDL, or a part of the movie. It always struck me that it was possibly accidental early on in filming and was easier to keep in than to hide in the close-ups. Any info would be appreciated....thanks. YRH
Well, Nightsky, it never ceases to amaze me how new things come up about this movie....having been on the board since summer of '97; (dare I admit that!) and some say I am good at archive awareness, this subject of Hawkeye's "wound" has never been discussed to my knowledge; so can't link any prior posts to you.
I always thought he scrapped himself on the George Road; never thought it was real; just makeup....guess we have to wait for further reports from our Soldier or Connie...
The "On the Trail of" book is great, isn't it! Waiting for the sequel....
