: FYI, for those who are interested, Dec. 14, 1999 was the 300th anniversary of the death of George Washington. Maybe that's one reason for a renewed interest in George. And for those of you who only remember Jeff Daniels from Dumb & Dumber, I recommend checking out some of his other movies such as Gettysburg (one of my favorites) and Arachnophobia (funny but hair-raising). He's a wonderful actor who can play a great "straight man" in the comedies.

I also recommend �Pleasantville� not only for Jeff�s wonderful performance as Bill Johnson but also for the movie�s beautiful and thought-provoking portrayal of people and society and the patterns inherent in them.
