: Bill writes:
: : Did anybody else watch the lunar eclipse tonight? I could see it, sorta, through the clouds. Betty says they had a clear night, and the moon turned characteristically reddish when it was completely eclipsed.

: : I am sure some of you out there have tales to tell about what earlier peoples thought about lunar eclipses? Elaine? PP? MMMMM? Dr.M?

: Yo, Bill! Mark & I watched the moon all evening. We had a crystal clear night, and it was lovely to see it gradually turn red. The heck with what earlier peoples thought about lunar eclipses...*I'M* convinced the entire thing is MAGICK!! What a treat!

I watched it too, even though I almost froze my hoohas off.
My view of it was framed by black tree limbs and gold and
gray clouds. Magick indeed.

PS And please don't think the less of me, but Catcher In
The Rye was my favorite book when I was 16 or so. And I
got a great college paper out of it -- "Innocence and
Experience: J.D. Salinger and WIlliam Wordsworth." Ah,
those were the days!
