: : : : As a total horse fan and a rider for some years (English style, of course!!!), I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your piece on the Appaloosa. I also wanted to make sure that you know we don't eat horses in England - its those darned Francais again!!!

: : : Adele: It must be those French Canadians then that keep our slaughter industry so healthy and active!

: : : Actually, Native Americans often ate their horses (along with their dogs) in order to survive harsh winters. They also viewed them as livestock, and an old or lame horse did not spend years eating up grasses needed for the young and healthy, but found themselves simmering in the stew! But eating MY horse, now that's a different story! YRH

: : True. I believe the Mongols also ate their horses and looked at them as livestock. Drank mare's milk too I believe. Always wanted to try that! I've had goat's milk, but reading about the Mongols gave me the romantic notion of trying mare's milk. Now before Doc M says I am having unhealthy desires for animals, I am using the term "romantic" in the literary sense, not the relationship sense!

: : She is SO depraved you really have to watch what you say else it is misconstrued.

: UnnHUH. Did you happen to grow up on a sheep farm, Billy?
: Does the notion of wearing hip boots and sneaking around
: the pasture with a flashlight do odd things to your libido?
: Ohhhh, Betty!!! Betty???? Call my pager immediately!!!

: Doc M

Do you SEE what I mean???????? *shrugs and shakes his head sadly*
