: : :  Very good question. I wish I had the answer right now but I`m working on it. I have the very first Brown Bess carbine that came into the country from David Pedersoli. I bought it right out of his hands at the Houston S.H.O.T. Show about 15 years ago. He didn`t want to box it up and take it back to Italy so he sold it to me for $320. I really like the way it handles, but now all my guns have 42 inch barrels. I`ll get back with you on this as I get more imfo.
