To My Dear Friends in MohicanLand:
We finally have a nice day here on the lower Hudson Valley, and I am taking advantage of it, having cleared ice and snow earlier today from the pathway, to write an update about the G2K Trading Post. It has been a bitterly cold winter, as you will know if you have received any posts from this area and further north; indeed, the Post Road to Boston, which runs but a few miles from my homestead, has been treacherous and mail has not traveled quickly. The Mighty Hudson has had great quantities of ice across the surface, but the strong winds of late have cleared the ice away down here. Up north, of course, it's a different story as the Hudson is completely frozen over, and our poor soldiers are suffering miserably from the cold and lack of provisions.
But fear not, dear friends, for the river shall be cleared well in advance of G2K, and I can promise that we will have plenty of time to move our goods from the north, for you to enjoy quality items of a large variety. I have been negotiating something special for the ladies, from a craftsman living near Ticonderoga (fool, he, considering the battles nearby and the attacks by the French savages across the New York wilderness).
Those of you wishing to have new 18th-century apparel and who are wishing me to assist you in procuring suiteable attire, MUST contact me this month.
I remain, as always,
Your Most Humble and Obedient Servant,
