: : Was looking over some of the archives and saw a post about one of Duncan's lines. The line reads like this "My compliments, Sir. Take her and get out!" The post had to do with another version of that same line that the listener seemed to mistake as "My corn's hurt, sir. Take her and get out!" If you listen to it I can see where you could get confused over that line. I laughed for a good 20 minutes over that one, and will have to tell my mother about it when she gets back from helena. I'm sure she will find it absolutely hysterical.

: : I sure laughed out loud at that one! I will never be able to watch that scene again without laughing! I love stories of misheard lines or lyrics - Madonna's La Isla Bonita is always known as "The Bagel Song" in our house because we always sang the first line of that song as "Last night I dreamed of some bagels.....!". That reminds me, for those of you going to the Gathering, remind me to tell you of the Dudley Moore/Sound of Music story - its far too rude to tell on the board, but it is a cracker!

: : PS Just thought of another one - Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, the line is "got a devil put aside for me" - our "lost lyric" is "devil for a sideboard". My husband believes that there is another line in this song...."Dynamite with a Cheddar Cheese" - I am trying to convince him to replace the Cheddar cheese with a laser beam - but he just won't have it!!!

: Hi girls!

: At the last Gathering, Marcia had put 'grafitti' up on the walls, (well, had US put it up!) and one of the lines was 'It's torture, Jack!' Try as I could, I couldn't place that line from the Movie! Turned out it was one of another Gatherer's 'lost lines' - and should have read 'Have to talk to ya' Jack!', Hawkeye shouting at Jack Winthrope as he, Uncas, Chingachgook and the George Road Massacre party finally enter the fort. I have to admit, I thing the 'lost line' works better there! :0)

: Kate.

Excellent!! Excellent!!! More, please Miss, more!!!
