Filene's eh? Sounds like the place for claustrophobic's--no changing rooms. And that sub-basement--how perfect--incorporating the 'cafeteria' idea introduced so many years ago. One thing about that damp, though, Leather really attracts mildew and mold, so I guess, Billy will have to go elsewhere for his 'after five' ensemble.........

: : Hey! I didn't get that issue of the Victoria's Secret catalog--I feel deprived. Maybe it's on their website? As for Gnome's 5th Avenue, is that anything like Nordstrom's Rack is to Nordstrom's? Maybe Gnome's 5th Ave is the back rack at Sak's--if you make it through the hordes of shoppers and survive being run over by strollers, whacked over the head by plastic hangers, there in the very back corner of the store sporting a door about 4 feet high, is Gnome's 5th Ave, haberdashery to the height impaired, red hats and pointy shoes always on special. Man, look at that red sequined spandex number--it would look super with Billy's menssiere and control top pantyhose!

: Gnome 5th Avenue runs underneath Filenes Basement home to the shoppers who try on clothes right in the aisles. G5 Avenue is the sub-basement of department stores catering to those who rarely see the light of day. Its a bit damp and dank down there, but the store offers a mildew-removal service, and the shoppers can nibble on roots from the world above while browsing for the latest in mini fashions.
