: Hi George --

: Thanks for answering my questions. Because I'm doing the research on what I want to buy, I keep hearing different people's viewpoints, and it's important for me to read the historical references you provide as well as the overall viewpoint based on your experience. Other people's experiences leads them to their conclusions, but I'm not sure that this debate will ever been fully solved until we find actual records of _precisely_ what Major Rogers did order for his men!

: Anyway, thanks again. I'm grateful.

: All the best,
: Sarah M.

I have also ran across refrences to German Jaeger rifles utilized by Ranger "riflemen", though to the refrences accurecy, I'd leave to Mjr. Bray.

As to shortened Brown Bess muskets, this was also practiced to some degree during the American Revolution by Butler's Rangers.
