Greetings my Brothers & Sisters of Mohicanland ~
It is good to be able to (finally) revisit one of my favorite haunts! I'm sure those who know me as a "regular" in the past thought I'd given up the ghost, or at the worst my association with that white renegade, Simon Girty, had done me in! ;-)
Well, it was really a combo of things (not including the stolen rum ol' Simon had been pouring into my coffee mug).
First & foremost, my (now) 9 month old daughter is running her ol' man ragged [g]! Second, my computer (or more likely AOL) had been giving me fits, everytime I'd sign onto the list my system would shut down because of an "illegal action" [grrrrr] :-(
Well, its finally let me back on...
Thirdly, my Butler's Rangers unit I was with broke up (members moving to other states & countries!). But you cant keep a good reenactor/living historian down, & thus I've joined another BAR unit & am currently forming a coy here in the Pacific NW.
I've also been developing a website for the unit, which y'all can visit at the link below :-)
Its currently a work in progress, but is coming along nicely...
Oh, the unit?
Its a recreated German ("Hessian") Jaeger ("hunter") corps.
This is an interesting new adventure for me. The group is very similar to the rangers (scouting / snipers / etc)but unlike the rangers saw action during the Rev' War in almost every major battle & minor skirmish. It gives us a far greater area of portrayl.
Anyhow, come visit the site & tell me what y'all think!
I'll try to keep up with the goings on here more often as the lil' one (Miss Shannon) allows here "papa" to do ;-)
And who knows, *if* ol' Simon Girty can pull himself away from the rum jug, you might see his shadow once in awhile [g]....
Glad to be back, I've missed y'all!

Dein Freund ~
"Champ"

P.S.~
a special "wado" & "danke" to those who've kept in touch while I was off-line & sent requested items to me via snail-mail.
I really appreciate it :-)
