: Oh I know, the 42nd were a bunch of Bloody Campbells, Grants & MacKays, but what about during F&I War?
: The 78th were recruited by Simon Fraser from Jacobite kinsmen to curry favor from the Crown.... what were they thinking? ;-)

: P.S. ~ how're things in your "neighborhood", Kate?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Och yes, but those that served abroad for the English, were the steenking 'heid clansmen',ie. Campbell, who through the years looked only to save their Scottish lands or to acquire more lands in England. If the clansmen didn't follow thir chief, their families were thrown off their lands!! The REAL Scots were at home, trying to get their own 'chief' (Charlie) 'back frae France' and back on his rightful throne!! :0)
:P.S.~how're things in your "neighborhood", Kate?
Nae sae bad! :0)
Take care,
Kate.
